Interim schools being the temporary schools for a short period of time demands a temporary structure which can be erected quickly as well as be dismantled when regular schools will start.

The choice and availability of construction materials is a major factor in the design of the interim school. Since the need to prepare a functioning school as early as possible after a disaster, materials which can be locally sourced or easily procured within a reasonable timeframe will be a finer option.

Through such a way , there would be no wastage of materials which are used in building a temporary school, once the permanent structures of schools get restored.
